Omega Diagnostics, the Scotland based in-vitro diagnostics company, announced in the May update that their subsidiary, Cambridge Nutritional Sciences, has signed an exclusive ten year distribution agreement with Toyota Tsusho America Inc. (TAI) for Food Detective in the US market. TAI is a specialist supply-chain arm of the Toyota Group, which has been operating in North America since 1961.

Food Detective will need regulatory approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (US FDA) prior to being sold in the US market. The process is expected to take 1-2 years to obtain and the costs will be borne by TAI.
