Pressure Technologies subsidiary, Chesterfield Biogas (CBG), the turnkey solutions provider for the cleaning, storage and dispensing of biomethane reached an important milestone last week, when the first injection of organically produced gas from its facility at the Didcot sewage works in Oxfordshire was injected directly into the
National Grid - a first for the UK energy industry.

The injected gas is produced from dirty biogas generated in the waste water treatment process at Didcot. The gas is then upgraded to 97% pure methane using equipment installed and supplied by CBG. Research suggests biogas could fulfil almost 50% of the UK’s domestic gas requirement.
