My strategy is to achieve long-term capital appreciation though technology growth stocks. Technology (semiconductors, software, comms) is my background, so I have a definite edge in this area. I believe there are multiple secular growth trends occurring right now in the technology sector which promise to persist for many years to come. I aim for a growth rate of at least 26%pa, nett of the income I withdraw for the purposes of providing my family with the means to live. The majority of my investments are US companies. In addition to stocks, I hold an Investment Trust. In the longer term, I aim to house 25% of my investments in 'safe & boring' stocks which pay out good dividends. At present this is less than 2%. An indispensable tool I have, is an App which I have been developing over the last two years for stock selection. Soon, it will also include features for portfolio management. For those who are interested, I use MATLAB, the premier language & environment for scientific & engineering applications. At present (Dec 2020) my portfolio consists of 13 holdings, the largest three being Microsoft, Apple & Nvidia.
