Chris Batchelor

I’ve worked in financial markets for almost 30 years, initially with fund managers and most recently in stock market research. I have also contributed a lot to financial markets education including preparing a lot of professional development courseware for Australia’s leading CPD provider for financial advisers.

I was a co-founder of stock market research platform Skaffold, which was based on a value investing philosophy. I ran the business from inception until it was sold and taken in a different direction by the new owner.

My qualifications include being a Chartered Financial Analyst, a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment and a Bachelor of Commerce Degree.

I place a lot of emphasis on understanding a business and then trying to place a valuation on it, whilst being acutely aware of the vagaries of forecasting. I like to hunt in the small caps area, trying to find unnoticed opportunities.
