I became curious about the stock market when I was 21, reading a bunch of great books like One Up On Wall Street and How to Make Money In Stocks. I saved as much as possible from my very modest earnings and began investing in UK stocks. I've now been investing that small nest egg for over a decade, in the I hope that it will eventually afford me an early retirement.
With a full time job and two young kids, my portfolio performance often varies depending on the time I am able to commit to it!
I am always learning and developing as an investor. As markets change, so must we in order to be successful.
Fundamentals, technicals and macro are all important. I have a decent record of selling to cash when I think a major selloff is coming, as I find myself very focused on minimising drawdowns.
