Biography

I'm a chartered accountant and chartered tax adviser in practice on my own account for many years. I trained with Coopers in the City in the 1970s. Later I moved abroad as a financial analyst for a large multinational. In those days I built up a lot of surplus cash and built up a sizeable investment portfolio. I made a lot of money in South African gold mining shares, but on the other hand I remember a number of losses as a result of my own stupidity. When I moved back to the UK I sold everything to buy a house. Over the last few years I have built up my investments in my SIPP and in my ISA.  

Investment strategy

Growth investments. Favourite gurus are Peter Lynch, Philip Fisher and David Dreman.
