Investment strategy

I look for companies generating a decent income, which is currently reinvested, not necessarily in the same companies. Historically, income-generating investments seem to generate the best overall returns. The shares are invested for the long term, but I will be looking to see if other shares qualify in the future, with changes only being made if they are generating 2.5% (to cover buying and selling costs) more dividend than the company being replaced.
