Biography
I am to my nest egg what a housewife is to family. Looking to grow wealth along the way, and seeking a style to best endure the knocks and bruises that come with the territory. Like the housewife; would love for someone else to clean the floors and do the ironing, but rather feel paying someone to do it is a missed opportunity when you have the time and resources to do it yourself, and besides, it's character building.
Engineer by education and background. If I had my time again, I'd love to have been a front-man in some band, and to have designed and built impressive architecture.
Investment strategy
Still looking for it. Drawn to;
- the simplicity of 'Buy and Hold', but not the short / medium term volatility and potentially deep drawdowns.
- the regular assurance that a successful trading system would bring, but not the all-day screen watching
- the search for a bargain in fundamentals, but not the disappointment when a disinterested market just doesn't agree to your hard work
- technical analysis to develop a view on seemingly random price action, but not the way that it often doesn't go the way you thought
