Used to work in the back office at Ashmore Investment Management Limited for many many years.

I used to regularly take my daughter for horse riding lessons. My wife took her one day and the lady instructor asked where that " lovely lovely" man that usually bought her was. Another time my wife was asked where the "gorgeous" man was and it turned into a running joke at home. The instructor always treated me just like one of the other parents and we had no particular relationship, as it were, and was not a "gushing" type so her comments were really odd which made it funnier.
