I am a semi retired IT professional and now make a living trading and investing on the UK stock market.

My passion lies in outdoor sports. I'm a climber and mountaineer and also participate in cross country running and orienteering.

I have a long term buy and hold approach for my core holdings, but I also take short term positions using CFD's and spread bets to add a little more "excitement". My core holdings are picked using traditional "value" metrics. I also run a high yield portfolio for a regular income stream. I use ETFs and Funds to gain exposure to overseas markets.
