Active investor running three distinct approaches. First is my discretionary value strategy, which consists of my own active stock-picking; I have a natural tilt toward value investing, though it's usually with ruinous results—which is exactly why I balance it with systematic rules elsewhere. Second is a high conviction momentum approach, a disciplined, rule-based strategy built on quantitative screens similar to Stockopedia’s SIF and NAPS frameworks, focusing on high-velocity trend following. Finally, I run the SIPP NAPS, a dedicated retirement portfolio where I operate my own tailored, self-managed variant of the classic NAPS strategy.
