Before Stockopedia, I used bulletins boards, media comments, RNS, broker notes where freely available, other charting sites, and occasionally other investors on Twitter. All of these lacked the depths and analysis I can get from Stockopedia.
Stockopedia has been a great tool in many ways and I continue to use it on a daily basis. Stockopedia combines good solid structured information, opinions, rankings, comparison, news, charting, and screens in one place. The charting is good and suits my needs in the most part. I’m an avid reader of the small cap value column - love Paul and Jack’s styles and Paul’s unerring openness - and often the ensuing discussions. And I very much appreciate the regular commenters such as MrContrarian’s early morning summary and the heatmaps from Greensiax, though I’m still trying to get my head around all that! The Stockopedia Staff Investing club has also been good - I love the in-depth reviews and assessments in those articles.
Investing is not my day job, but the portfolio I manage on behalf of my business and my personal portfolio together are reasonably sizeable. It’s important for me to keep track of investments and new opportunities. I’m certainly not a day trader, although sometimes I do make day trades where I can see an opportunity. Principally I’m more of investor, but each of my investments I do class as either Short/Medium/Long term and that helps keep me honest as to why I bought a stock and how strongly I should react to market movements. With Stockopedia, I feel more informed, considered, structured, inclined to do a lot more research now - other than the odd impulse trade. Overall I think it has helped me mature as an investor.

Stockopedia improving my process has led to better results. My best result last year was Novacyt with a 20x return, and adding new positions and selling down has been driven by my more informed view that Stockopedia helps with.
