Ted's Story

Before Stockopedia, how did you go about finding investments?

My name is Ted Scott, I retired about 3 years ago and I formally worked as a fund manager for over 30 years. Someone recommended Stockopedia to me and I had a look at the website and found it very very comprehensive, very user friendly as well - that's when I started using it.

In what way has Stockopedia changed your approach to investing?

When I stopped working I didn't have research available to me, I wasn't able to meet company management on a regular basis like I used to when I worked as well. So it enabled me to invest in companies with a certain degree of confidence that the research had been done through the website and through the tips on the website as well. So I'm very grateful to Stockopeda for enabling me to invest in these companies and not do it blind and that's the key difference.

Typically 2 out of 3 stock picks underperform, whereas if you are using Stockopedia with the stock picking system, StockRanking system which is the hallmark of Stockopedia, on average you will outperform - so there is no better recommendation than that.
