Adds new items, updates futures
June 19 (Reuters) - Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening lower on Thursday, with futures FFIc1 down 0.24%.
* VODAFONE: Britain's Vodafone Group VOD.L named Microsoft's MSFT.O Pilar Lopez as its new finance chief.
* FRASERS: Billionaire Mike Ashley's Frasers Group FRAS.L said it will not make an offer for struggling British cosmetics group Revolution Beauty REVB.L.
* WHITBREAD: Britain's Whitbread WTB.L reported another quarterly decline in sales, citing weak demand in its core UK market and limited forward visibility amid economic and geopolitical headwinds.
* HAYS: British recruiter Hays HAYS.L projected a more than 57% drop in annual operating profit to around 45 million pounds ($60.23 million), falling short of market expectations of 56.4 million pounds, according to company-compiled estimates.
* SHELL: Shell SHEL.L CEO Wael Sawan said the oil and gas major was being "very careful" with its shipping through the Middle East.
* RIO TINTO: Rio Tinto RIO.L, RIO.AX agreed to pay$138.75 million to settle a lawsuit that accused the Anglo-Australian mining giant of defrauding investors by concealing problems with its $7 billion underground expansion of the Oyu Tolgoi copper and gold mine in Mongolia.
* ELI LILLY: Eli Lilly LLY.N said it would appeal against a UK agency's recommendation to not reimburse the cost of Alzheimer's drug Kisunla.
* BoE: Britain's central bank looks set to keep interest rates on hold on Thursday.
* COMMODITIES: Oil prices fell, copper prices on the Shanghai Futures Exchange and London Metal Exchange were largely flat, and gold prices gained on Thursday
* EX-DIVS: Compass Group CPG.L, 3i Group III.L, Experian EXPN.L, United Utilities Group UU.L, Airtel Africa AAF.L, Persimmon PSN.L will trade without entitlement to their latest dividend pay-out.
