Abbott misses quarterly revenue estimates on weakness in diagnostics segment

Jan 22 (Reuters) - Abbott ABT.N missed Wall Street estimates for quarterly revenue on Thursday, hit by weakness in its diagnostic business which has been volatile due to sharp decline in COVID-19 testing demand and a freeze on foreign aid by President Donald Trump's administration.

Total revenue for the quarter was $11.46 billion, compared with analysts' average expectation of $11.80 billion according to LSEG data.
