Appointment of Chief Legal Officer

 

ACG is pleased to announce the appointment of Damien Coles as its Chief Legal
Officer.

 

Mr Coles brings over 20 years' experience of advising clients on deals in
emerging markets and will be invaluable to ACG as the Company looks to pursue
further roll-up acquisitions in the copper sector in 2025.

 

Mr Coles was educated at Oxford University and was formerly an equity partner
at leading global law firm, Kirkland & Ellis, based in Hong Kong. Since
2020, he has been a Director at Moorlander Consulting, providing consultancy
services to private equity and credit funds investing in emerging markets.

 

During his career, Mr Coles has worked on some of the largest and most complex
emerging markets transactions across a variety of industry sectors, including
natural resources and renewable energy. He has received numerous industry
accolades, including being identified as a leading lawyer by Chambers, IFLR
and Legal 500.

In September 2024, ACG successfully completed the acquisition of the Gediktepe
Mine, an operating open pit mine in Türkiye currently producing 34 koz of

Gediktepe is expected to transition to primary copper and zinc production from
2026 and will target annual steady-state copper equivalent production of 20-25
kt.
