Response to Publication in Canada & Update on IP Applications and Filings
 
The Directors of Active Energy, the London quoted international biomass based renewable energy and forestry management business, note the open letter (the "RMDE Letter") from Ron Derrickson, Chairman of RMD Environmentals, Inc. ("RMDE"), regarding the status of AEG's CoalSwitchTM Licence Agreement with RMDE, which was posted to the RMDE website on 7 April 2021.
The Company's Directors wholly refute all the allegations made in the RMDE Letter and by Ron Derrickson.  The directors are of the firm belief the allegations are completely unfounded. AEG has taken legal advice and is now pursuing appropriate legal recourse.
AEG confirms that it has correctly filed all patents and patent applications in the US and Canada over the last 2 years. Patents were awarded in the US in November 2020 and AEG has received confirmation from its US & Canadian patent attorneys that there have not been any substantive amendments to the application, and that the final stages of approval for the Canadian patents is nearing completion. 
Further announcements regarding the CoalSwitchTM Licence Agreement between AEG and RMDE, which was first announced on 28 November 2019, will be made if appropriate.
