Australia's Adairs hits one-year high after non-executive chair resigns

** Shares of Adairs  ADH.AX  rise as much as 6.9% to A$2.47,
their highest level since March 8, 2023
    ** Stock posts its biggest intraday pct gain since Feb 27
    ** The home furnishing retailer posts resignation of its
non-executive chairman Brett Chenoweth from the board, effective
from March 22
    ** Says non-executive director Kate Spargo will serve as the
interim non-executive chair
    ** About 1.1 mln shares change hands, compared with the
30-day average volume of 1 mln shares
    ** Stock up 34.5% so far this year, as of last close
