Australia's Adairs rises most in about 8 months on strong sales

** Shares of Adairs  ADH.AX  rise as much as 13.4% to
A$2.630, set for their biggest intraday gain since Feb. 26, if
gains hold
    ** Stock hits its highest level since March 28
    ** Furniture retailer says for the first 16 weeks of FY25,
group sales were up 4.8% over last year
    ** About 1.8 mln shares change hands, compared with the
30-day average volume of around 626,000
    ** Stock up 45.3% YTD, including session's move
