OSLO, Feb 5 (Reuters) - The board of Norway's Aker Horizons ASA AKH.OL said on Thursday it plans to delist the company from the Oslo Bourse and liquidate it after handing over remaining assets and operations to a related company.
Aker Horizons, which went public in 2021 as a holding company for renewable energy under the Aker ASA AKER.OL group, has gradually scaled back its operations as soaring costs drove down the profitability of investments in the sector.
The board had considered several alternative courses of action before settling on a liquidations, the company said in a statement.
"No viable alternatives have been identified, and any new activity would require substantial new equity funding," Aker Horizons said.
The overall liquidation and delisting proposal will be voted upon during a general meeting scheduled for February 26.
