** Shares of BioCryst Pharmaceuticals Inc BCRX.O rise
13.9% to $3.2 and face mask maker Alpha Pro Tech Ltd APT.A
surged 33.3% to $8, premarket
** Stocks of some drugmakers and pharmaceutical cos have
risen recently after they indicated they are developing vaccines
for the new coronavirus that has spread to more than 2,000

** BCRX is testing an antiviral, galidesivir, in early-stage
clinical trials
** Alpha Pro, which is set to open at a 5-yr high, makes
face masks and other infection control products
** Shares of vaccine developer Novavax Inc NVAX , which
have risen in the past 6 of 7 sessions, up 12.8%
** Diagnostic test maker Co-Diagnostics Inc CODX.O , shares
of which fell ~7% on Friday on a stock sale announced a day
after a coronavirus-fueled surge in its shares, up ~18%
premarket
