Australia's Variscan Mines rises on exploration licence extension in Spain

** Shares of Variscan Mines  VAR.AX  rise as much as 2.3% to
A$0.045, set for its best session since Feb. 17 if gains hold
    ** The base metals explorer says https://www.asx.com.au/asxpdf/20220301/pdf/456k8hrrzvfsbx.pdf
 three year extension for the Buenahora exploration license,
within co's Novales-Udias project, has been granted by the
Government of Cantabria, northern Spain
    ** Co says surface drilling to test regional targets over
the Buenahora exploration license is anticipated to commence
this quarter, subject to permitting approvals
    ** Stock down ~6.4% YTD, as of last close
