** Shares of Adelong Gold  ADG.AX  rise as much as 25% to
A$0.005, posting their best session since early September
    ** Mineral explorer reports results of soil sampling program
indicating the presence of more gold targets at its Adelong
project in New South Wales
    ** Says results confirm and highlight potential for
extension of mineralisation at project
    ** More than 3.8 mln shares change hands vs the 30-day avg
volume of about 2.3 mln shares
    ** Stock down 10% YTD
