Australia's American West Metal surges on Storm Project copper find

** Shares of American West Metal Ltd  AW1.AX  rise as much
as 19.2% to A$0.155, their biggest intraday pct gain since Sept.

    ** The Australian mineral exploration company, which also
has business in Canada and the United States, says diamond
drilling continues to define near-surface high-grade copper at
the Storm Project in Canada
    **Drilling more than doubled the mineralised envelope and
substantially enhanced the resource potential 
    ** Storm and Seal (together, the “Nunavut Projects”) are
located in the northern part of Nunavut, a territory of Canada
in which co has an option to earn an 80% interest in the Storm
Project 
    ** Co adds high volume of near-surface high-grade copper now
confirmed 
    ** Drill core samples from the 2022 programme shipped to
Perth for further tests to follow initial tests that produced a
Direct Shipping Ore product with a grade >53% Cu 
    ** Stock posts its highest since Oct. 24 
    ** More than 3.1 mln shares change hands, vs the 30-day
average volume of 1 mln shares
    ** Stock has risen 4% this year, as of last close
