August 4 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers, acquisitions and disposals were reported by 1330 GMT on Monday:

** Taiwan's Foxconn 2317.TW said it had struck a deal to sell a former car factory at Lordstown, Ohio, for $375 million, including its machinery, but said it would continue to use the site to make a broader range of products aligned with its strategic priorities.nL1N3TW06R

** Amphenol APH.N entered a $10.5 billion deal to buy CommScope's COMM.O connectivity and cable solutions unit, the largest purchase by the fibre-optic cable maker that would make it a key player in the market for U.S. wireless infrastructure.

** HNI HNI.N has agreed to buy office furniture maker Steelcase SCS.N in a deal worth about $2.2 billion, it said, as it looks to capitalize on more companies asking employees to return to office. nL4N3TW0S9

** Thyssenkrupp's TKAG.DE plans to spin off its TKMS defence division are fully understood and supported by the German government, said supervisory board chairman Siegfried Russwurm in prepared remarks published on Monday. nS8N3QE0G6

** Real estate investment trust Elme Communities on Monday ELME.N agreed to sell a 19-asset portfolio to Cortland Partners for $1.6 billion in cash, and said it also intends to sell its remaining assets in the next one year. nL4N3TW0OS

** Joby Aviation JOBY.N will acquire helicopter ride-share company Blade Air Mobility's BLDE.O passenger business for up to $125 million, Joby said Monday, as it works to speed the deployment of electric air taxis for commercial passenger services.nL1N3TW09I

** Singapore's sovereign wealth fund GIC will acquire a 25% stake in a Spanish fibre optic broadband venture between MasOrange and Vodafone Spain, the three companies said , helping GIC to boost its presence in a key European telecom market.

** Bahrain's sovereign wealth fund, Mumtalakat, has acquired a stake in BlueFive Capital, the Abu Dhabi-based private equity firm said. nL1N3TW04Q

** Mitsubishi 8058.T has made an offer to increase its stake in Thai Union Group Public Company Limited TU.BK, a major canned tuna producer, to 20% from 6.19%, both companies said , as the Japanese trading house expands further into the food business. nL8N3TW01T

** Australia's BlueScope Steel BSL.AX said it has assembled a heavyweight consortium of global steelmakers to bid for Sanjeev Gupta's troubled Whyalla Steelworks, over a month after the local government formally opened a sale process. nL1N3TV05Q

** China Mobile 600941.SS, the world's biggest wireless carrier by users, said it had bought a 14.4% stake in Hong Kong-based broadband service provider HKBN 1310.HK for HK$1.08 billion ($137.58 million). nL4N3TW09D

** Australia's Medallion Metals MM8.AX  said it has negotiated the terms for the acquisition of Forrestania nickel operation in Western Australia from IGO IGO.AX in exchange for a royalty. nL4N3TV06D
