Australia's Mitre Mining eyes best day ever on mining tenement grant

** Shares of Australia's Mitre Mining Corp  MMC.AX  soar as
much as 17.1% to A$0.24 after co says it was granted a new
mining tenement 
    ** Stock set for biggest ever intraday percentage climb 
    ** Mineral explorer says it has applied for and received
official notification of the granting of a new tenement, named
the "Araluen Project"  urn:newsml:reuters.com:*:nASX79Dzc 
    ** Project is located about 50km from co's existing tenement
in New South Wales, Australia 
    ** Site expected to add gold and base metals to co's
portfolio 
    ** Stock hits highest level since Oct. 11 
    ** About 1.5 mln shares change hands, compared with the
30-day average of about 116,000 shares 
    ** MMC down 19.6% since its ASX listing on Sept. 30, as of
last close
