Ray O'Rourke to step down from Anglo American Board
Anglo American plc ("Anglo American") announces that Ray O'Rourke, a non-executive director, has notified the Board of his intention to step down after more than six years, in order to concentrate on his business commitments as chairman and chief executive of Laing O'Rourke. Mr O'Rourke will step down from the Anglo American Board with effect 25 July 2016.
Sir John Parker, Chairman of Anglo American, said: "Ray has brought his tremendous experience of complex projects, safety and innovation to our Board discussions over the last six years and more. I am very grateful for the commitment he has given us over that time and for his always valuable contribution. We wish him all the very best as he continues to build upon the successes of his business".
