** Shares of Apollo Minerals  AON.AX  rise 10% in heavy
trading session, on track for second day of gains
    ** Nearly 3 mln shares change hands, compared with the
30-day average volume of ~714,500
    ** Stock also on track for best day since mid-November and
best two-day rise since late-August, if gains hold
    ** Mineral explorer says it has identified gold in soil
anomalies at its Salanie Gold Project in Gabon
    ** Stock jumps above 50- and 100-day moving averages
    ** Still, AON is down 34% YTD
