** Biotech firm Apollomics' APLM.O shares fall ~30% to $6.63
premarket
** Company says its experimental blood cancer therapy in
combination with chemotherapy failed to show favorable benefit
in extending survival vs chemotherapy alone in a late-stage
trial
** Apollomics was testing the therapy, uproleselan, in
patients with relapsed or refractory acute myeloid leukemia
(AML)
** AML is a type of blood cancer that starts in the bone
marrow and affects white blood cells
** As of last close, company's shares down ~90% YTD
