The Rock: Successful Placement of EUR 80 million Senior Secured Green Bond
Issue

 

Aquila European Renewables plc ("AER" or "the Company"), the London-listed
investment company advised by Aquila Capital Investmentgesellschaft mbH
("Investment Adviser"), is pleased to report on a successful placing of a new
EUR 80,000,000 senior secured green bond issue (the "New Bonds") by Øyfjellet
Wind Investment AS ("The Rock"), a 400 MW wind farm located in northern
Norway, in which the Company has a 13.7% shareholding. The New Bonds carry a
floating interest rate of 3-month EURIBOR plus 4.25 per cent. per annum and
have a maturity of 5 years from the Issue Date of 22 May 2026. The net
proceeds from the New Bonds will be used to refinance the Rock's existing EUR
80,000,000 senior secured green bonds, which were due to be redeemed in
September 2026, and to cover transaction-related expenses.
