** Shares of Arafura Rare Earths ARU.AX fall nearly 15% to A$0.1875, snapping 7-session winning streak

** Stock earlier fell as much as almost 20.5% to A$0.175, its lowest level since August 7

** Rare earths miner receives commitments for an almost A$80 million ($51.49 million) placement

** Issue price of A$0.19/shr represents a discount of 17.4% to stock's last close

** About 37.5 mln shares traded so far vs 30-day avg of nearly 9.9 mln

** Stock is up 63% YTD, including session's moves
