ANNOUNCEMENT OF NEW NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR 
 
The Board of Arbuthnot Banking Group PLC (the "Group" or "Arbuthnot") today
announces that Ian Dewar will join the Board as a Non-Executive Director with
effect from 1 August 2015.  Ian will also become a Non-Executive Director of
Arbuthnot Latham & Co., Limited, also with effect from 1 August 2015. 
 
Commenting on the appointment Sir Henry Angest, Chairman and CEO, said: 
 
"The Board is delighted to welcome Ian to Arbuthnot Banking Group and we are
looking forward to benefitting from his wealth of experience and his
contribution to the future success of the Group."
