MILAN, June 28 (Reuters) - Intrum INTRUM.ST , Europe's
biggest debt collector, has picked Alberto Marone, its current
head of Italy, to oversee the Middle Europe cluster set up under
its new regional organisation, it said on Wednesday.
As managing director for Intrum's Middle Europe markets,
Marone will oversee an area spread across Britain and Ireland,
France, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium and
Switzerland.
Including Italy, for which he remains responsible, the area
under his supervision includes 4,000 staff.
Marone, formerly at Swiss bank UBS UBSG.S where he worked
in investment banking in London, was named head of the Italian
arm of Intrum in April 2021.
He had since 2018 been part of Intrum Italy's senior
management team, where he has covered the role of head of M&A
and strategy for the joint venture the Swedish group runs in the
country with Intesa Sanpaolo ISP.MI .
