Appointment of Chief Financial Officer

Ariana Resources plc (AIM: AAU, ASX: AA2, "Ariana" or the "Company"), the
mineral exploration, development and production company with gold project
interests in Africa and Europe, is pleased to advise the appointment of Mr
Simon Acomb as Chief Financial Officer ("CFO"), effective immediately.

Simon is a Chartered Accountant and qualified Governance Professional with
over 11 years' experience in the areas of accounting, external audit and
corporate governance. Simon has a Bachelor of Commerce, a Graduate Diploma in
Applied Corporate Governance & Risk Management and is a member of the
Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and New Zealand.

Simon is currently a director of Consilium Corporate Pty Ltd, a corporate
advisory firm based in Perth, Australia, that provides corporate and other
advisory services to publicly listed companies

Simon's appointment as CFO is a non-Board role. Mr William Payne, who
previously held the position of CFO, will continue in his position as
Non-Executive Director.

Dr Kerim Sener, Managing Director, commented:
