U.S. stock indexes fell on Wednesday as a deal to raise the nation's debt
ceiling headed for a crucial vote by lawmakers, while unexpectedly strong labor
market data reinforced bets of another interest rate hike by the Federal
Reserve.  .N 
    At 1336 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI  was down 0.58% at
32,851.83. The S&P 500  .SPX  was down 0.57% at 4,181.74 and the Nasdaq
Composite  .IXIC  was down 0.44% at 12,960.07.
