** Shares of Cannes Lions Festival owner Ascential ASCL.L
jump 25.8% to a record high of 562 pence
** Stock top gainer on the FTSE mid cap index .FTMC
** Event organiser Informa INF.L agrees to buy ASCL for
1.2 bln pounds ($1.55 bln)
** ASCL to receive 568 pence per share, representing a 53%
premium to the last closing price of 371 pence on Monday
** As of last close, stock up about 49% YTD
