Australia's Aurizon Holdings hits near 7-mth high on strong HY results

** Shares of Aurizon Holdings  AZJ.AX  rise as much as
3.2%to A$3.88, their highest level since July 18
    ** Rail freight operator posts HY underlying net profit
after tax (NPAT) of A$237 million ($154.62 million), up by 40%
    ** Co also declares interim dividend of 9.7 AU cents per
share
    ** AZJ says FY24 outlook remains unchanged
    ** Stock set to hit best intraday gain since Oct. 11, if
current trends hold
    ** Stock has fallen 1.05% this year as of last close
