Corrects to increase equity stake in Austal, not to take over, in paragraph 2 SYDNEY, Dec 8 (Reuters) - Australia's Treasurer Jim Chalmers said on Monday that the government will not extend electricity rebates, ahead of the mid-year budget to be unveiled next week. He added that the government would make a decision on South Korean conglomerate Hanwha's 000880.KS bid to increase its equity stake in Australian shipbuilder Austal ASB.AX imminently.
