Profile Summary
Austal Limited is a shipbuilder, defense prime contractor, and maritime technology company. The Company is engaged in designing, constructing and supporting defense and commercial vessels for operators globally. Its segments include USA Shipbuilding, USA Support, Australasia Shipbuilding, and Australasia Support. The USA Shipbuilding segment manufactures high performance defense vessels for the United States of America Navy. USA Support segment provides training and on-going support and maintenance of Austal and non-Austal vessels to the US Navy. Australasia Shipbuilding segment comprises Austal’s Australia, Philippines and Vietnam shipbuilding operations. Australasia manufactures high performance vessels for markets worldwide, excluding the USA. Australasia Support segment comprises Austal’s Australia, Oman and Trinidad, and Tobago operations. Its defense vessels include multi-mission surface warfare combatants, such as the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) for the United States Navy.
