Open Price

The Open Price is the price at which the security first traded at the open of the day’s trading on its stock exchange. For some companies this may have been after an auction period.

Stockopedia explains Open

The Open Price is the first traded price on each trading day. Many investors will submit trades to execute ‘At the Open’. Some investors will compare the open price with the previous days’ price in order to find ‘gaps’ up or down - a popular technical trading signal.
