** Newspaper Dagens Næringsliv on Sunday wrote Erna Solberg,
the leader of the conservative opposition party Høyre, "would
prefer to postpone the entire resource tax on salmon"
** DNB Markets analyst Alexander Aukner attributes the moves
to the news, saying it contributes to "a rising sense that there
could be major overhauls to the proposition"
** According to DN, Solberg is particularly opposed to a
norm price as a tax basis, but is open to a settlement that
would increase other taxes for the aquaculture industry
** Fish farmers' shares also rose last week after a local
media report suggested the Norwegian finance minister considered
adjusting the new tax
** SalMar and Mowi are the top two performers on Norway's
OBX index .OBX
