Norwegian salmon farmers surge on lower-than-feared resource tax

** Shares in Norwegian fish farmers soar in mid-day trade
after the Norwegian governing Centre Party said the parliament
had reached a compromise regarding a lower than initially
proposed salmon resource rent tax
    ** The party said the final agreement will set the tax at
25%, down from an original government proposal last year of 40% 
    ** Shares of Mowi  MOWI.OL , Austevoll  AUSS.OL , Leroy
Seafood  LSG.OL , Salmar  SALM.OL  are all up 8-11% at 11:50 GMT
    ** Salmar stock tops STOXX 600  .STOXX  index and tracks its
best day since 2011
    **  The resource tax was proposed last year, sending fish
farmers stock tumbling
