Australia's Austin Metals rises after drilling commences at WA gold project

** Shares of Austin Metals Ltd  AYT.AX  rise as much as
12.5% to A$0.027, their highest since Feb. 15
    ** The base metal explorer says aircore drilling has started
at its Austin Gold Project in Western Australia  urn:newsml:reuters.com:*:nASX6rj9JL
    ** Says aircore drilling will test at least five priority
targets and field checking of several other targets is underway
    ** Adds the drill programme will comprise a total of 1,500 -
2,000 metres of drilling and is expected to be completed by the
end of March
    ** More than 3.4 mln shares change hands, 4.2 times the
30-day average of 812,821 shares
    ** As of last close, stock down 17.2% this year
