MILAN, July 29 (Reuters) - Italian airport and motorway
caterer Autogrill AGL.MI , which has agreed a takeover by Swiss
Dufry DUFN.S , reported on Friday a 78% growth in like-for-like
sales to 1.8 billion euros ($1.84 billion) in the first half of
2022 as passengers resumed travelling especially in North
America.
The group, controlled by the Benetton family, also nudged up
its guidance on the back of the results, seeing 2022 revenues
reaching around 3.8 billion euros compared with a previous
figure of 3.7 billion euros.
Earlier in July, Dufry agreed to buy Autogrill, creating a
travel industry giant to take advantage of growth opportunities
as the sector rebounds. urn:newsml:reuters.com:*:nL1N2YR0GE
