    POLITICS
    Italy's governing coalition parties will suspend for four
months the parliamentary debate over the ratification of a
reform to a euro zone bailout fund, a lawmaker from Prime
Minister Giorgia Meloni's party said on Friday.
    
    DEBT
    Foreign investors bought 40.6% of a new 8-year floating-rate
bond Italy issued for 5 billion euros via a syndicated exchange
auction, the Treasury said on Friday.
    
    ECONOMY
    June PMI manufacturing HCOB data (0745 GMT).
    Transport Ministry releases June car sales data (1600 GMT).

    COMPANIES
    INSURERS
    Prosecutors in Milan are probing allegations of false
accounting in relation to the crisis at Italian life insurer
Eurovita, a person with knowledge of the matter said on Friday.
    Ialy's top four insurers and Germany's Allianz  ALVG.DE 
have agreed a multi-billion euro rescue deal for Eurovita,
industry supervisor IVASS said on Friday after months of work to
broker an accord which also involves 25 banks.
    Italy's insurance regulator IVASS said on Friday it had
extended a freeze on early redemptions of Cinven-owned Eurovita
life insurance policies until October 31.
    
    BANKS
    In identifying countries outside the European Economic Area
which, as of Dec. 31, 2022, were relevant for a euro area
member's banking system in order to monitor credit exposure and
risks to financial stability, the Bank of Italy on Friday said
it was constantly monitoring risks linked to the exposure of
local lenders to the countries involved in the ongoing conflict
in Ukraine, in particular Russia. The risk monitoring is part of
 recommendations by the ECB's European Systemic Risk Board
(ESRB).
    Italian banks will be required to fill a template to detail
exposure to clients in those countries and keep it monitored, a
person close to the matter said.
    
    ITALGAS  IG.MI 
    Natural gas will help the transition to renewables energy
sources, and grid companies, such as Italgas, will play a
crucial role in the transport of biogas and hydrogen, Italy's
biggest gas distributor CEO Paolo Gallo was quoted as saying in
an interview with La Repubblica on Sunday.
   
    FERRAGAMO  SFER.MI 
    Italian luxury group said on Friday that its Chief Financial
Officer Alessandro Corsi would resign with effect from Sept.30
to take on "a new professional challenge".
    
    ENI  ENI.MI  
    Italian energy group said on Friday its Eni Rewind unit had
bought a 30% stake in LabAnalysis Environmental Science, Italy's
market leader in environmental testing.
    
    AUTOGRILL  AGL.MI 
    Swiss duty-free retailer Dufry said on Saturday its stake in
the Italian group topped 95%, allowing it to initiate a
squeeze-out procedure on the remaining shares it does not own. 
    
    IVECO GROUP  IVG.MI 
    The truck and bus maker said on Friday it had finalised the
acquisition of the full and sole ownership of the Nikola Iveco
Europe former joint venture, which will be now renamed EVCO.
    
    JUVENTUS  JUVE.MI 
    The Serie A club said on Saturday they had signed American
winger Timothy Weah from Ligue 1 side Lille for an initial fee
of 10.3 million euros.
    
    AATECH  AAT.MI 
    The company developing platforms for clients in fintech and
energy transition markets, debuts on Euronext Growth Milan
segment.    
    
    DIARY
    Milan, business lobby Lombardy body Assolombarda holds
annual general meeting (0900 GMT); expected attendees include
Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
    Milan, high-tech machinery manufacturers' association UCIMU
holds meeting (0830 GMT); expected attendees include Industry
Minister Adolfo Urso via videoconference (0915 GMT), Intesa
Sanpaolo  ISP.MI  Chairman Gian Maria Gros-Pietro (0945 GMT).
