    POLITICS
    Good relations with China are possible even without being
part of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) deal, Italian Prime
Minister Giorgia Meloni said in an interview published on
Sunday, as her government weighs abandoning the project.
    
    ECONOMY
    ISTAT releases April non-EU foreign trade data (0800 GMT).
    
    COMPANIES

    Italy intends to boost competition in the banking sectoru in
order to benefit businesses through the privatisation of the
Tuscan bailed-out bank, Economy Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti
said on Friday.
    
    INTESA SANPAOLO  ISP.MI 
    Italy's biggest bank said on Friday it had reached with
unions an accord to expand the flexible work measures, including
a four-day working week, it had introduced on Jan. 1, which has
been so far taken by 40,000 employees or 70% of eligible staff
for the part concerning the remote working and by 17,000 people,
or 60% of the total, for the part concerning the four-day week.
        
    PRYSMIAN  PRY.MI 
    The cable maker said on Friday it had designated current
Chief Operating Officer Massimo Battaini as the candidate to
succeed long-serving CEO Valerio Battista. 
    
    AUTOGRILL  AGL.MI 
    Dufry  DUFN.S  CEO Xavjer Rossinyol told Milano Finanza on
Saturday he was confident of hitting the 90% take up threshold
needed to de-list the Italian motorway caterer. The Swiss group
has reopened the terms of the public exchange offer it had
launched on Autogrill until 1 June after securing around 87% of
the Italian group.
