US Cash Soymeal-Basis flat following holiday weekend

CHICAGO, Sept 8 (Reuters) - Spot basis offers for soymeal were flat at Midwest truck and rail points on Tuesday and cash trade was quiet following a three-day U.S. holiday weekend, brokers said. 
Following the U.S. Labor Day holiday weekend, trade was quiet as market players awaited the release of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's supply and demand report on Friday, according to brokers. 
CBOT October soymeal SMV26 ended $4.90 lower at $343.30 per short ton. 
New-crop November soybeans SX26 settled 6-1/2 cents higher at $13.16-1/4 per bushel.
The CBOT December-November "board crush" SMSIZ26-BOZ26-SX26, one indication of soy processors' profit margins, was last down 2-1/2 cents at $2.31 per bushel of soybeans.
