** Shares of Asian Battery Metals AZ9.AX rise 18.18% to A$0.026, their highest level since June 20

** Stock on course for best session since May 27, if trend holds

** Lithium-copper miner finds multiple high-grade copper-nickel sulphide zones at the Yambat project in Mongolia, extending known zones at the site

** Sees discovery at the site as potentially part of a larger mineralised system rather than being an isolated deposit

** Around 3.3 mln shares change hands, more than 2x the 30-day average trading volume of about 1.2 mln

** Session trims YTD losses to 45.8%
