COMPANIES Milan Stock Exchange After Hours market closed. MEDIOBANCA MDBI.MI, MONTE DEI PASCHI BMPS.MI The take-up in Tuscan lender Monte dei Paschi's bid for Mediobanca remained steady at 19.4% as of Aug. 20, data regarding the ongoing offer showed on Wednesday. MEDIOBANCA MDBI.MI, BANCA GENERALI BGN.MI (*) The merchant bank's Chief Executive Alberto Nagel faces a close shareholder vote on Thursday on his proposed 6.8 billion euro ($7.9 billion) acquisition of Banca Generali to create Italy's second-largest wealth manager. The expected turnout is around 77%-78% of the bank's share capital, a source close to the merchant bank said on Wednesday. The ordinary shareholders' meeting is scheduled at 0800 GMT. LUXURY/FASHION INDUSTRY Valentino has appointed industry veteran Riccardo Bellini as new chief executive, it said on Wednesday, hiring him from the Qatari fund Mayhoola which is the Italian fashion house's parent company.
