The following factors could affect Italian markets on Monday.

COMPANIES 
MONTE DEI PASCHI DI SIENA BMPS.MI

    Italy's Treasury, which holds a stake of just under 5% in the Tuscan bank, could sell its holding through an accelerated bookbuilding transaction (ABB) on Tuesday, daily Il Giornale reported on Sunday. An Italian economy ministry source denied the report.
  

INTESA SANPAOLO ISP.MI, MONTE DEI PASCHI BMPS.MI

    The Milan-based bank said on Saturday it had filed with market watchdog Consob the offer document relating to its voluntary public tender and exchange offer for smaller rival Monte dei Paschi di Siena.

The Economy Ministry said on Friday that no meeting had been scheduled or requested between Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti and the top management of French bank Credit Agricole CAGR.PA.

(*) MARE GROUP MARE.MI 
The engineering group said on Monday it had agreed to buy a 51% stake in GMSpazio, a Rome-based aerospace and defence group with production worth over €3 million and core profits worth €1 million in 2025. Mare will spend €1.275 million on the acquisition, of which €1.05 in cash, it said in a statement. 
      
FERRARI RACE.MI

    George Russell won the 
    Austrian Grand Prix
     from pole position on Sunday to trim Mercedes teammate Kimi Antonelli's Formula One lead to 40 points.
  

    Antonelli has 171 points to Russell's 131 with Ferrari's Lewis Hamilton, fifth on Sunday after running second and battling Verstappen wheel-to-wheel, on 125.
